The contract between Allegheny Technologies (ATI) and more than 2,200 members of the United Steelworkers (USW) at 12 work sites across the country expired on June 30. The steelworkers have offered concessions that would help the company move forward, but ATI’s management is demanding that workers submit to massive cuts that would jeopardize family-sustaining jobs.
